About Me

Thank you for coming by my slice of the Internet.  By day I am a network engineer for a hospital system in central Illinois.  I have been in IT since graduating from high school in many roles including ISP tech support, educational tech support, system administration, desktop deployment, network engineering and telecommunications.  Cisco Systems' products have been a large focal point of my career and training.  Currently I hold the CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNA Routing and Switching, CCNA Wireless, and CCDA certifications from Cisco.

When I'm not connected to a computer, smartphone or other electronic device, I am probably at home with my wife and our three dogs.  Ok so even when I'm home with them I'm probably connected in some way.  My wife and I are avid XBox 360 gamers.  My current addiction is Call of Duty Ghost.  I find that game violence is a good stress reliever after work.  My wife and I also work with a local dog rescue organization to foster and find homes for dogs from the pound.  If you really want to see what goes on in my mind outside of computers, try my personal blog.

I am open to opportunities for consulting in the central IL area or remotely.
